LOOKING BACK: Passing Out Pieces Vol 1

Sam Herrera

right page top: brooklyn, new york. the first time i went to new york, also was the first time traveling alone, first time on a plane, first time doing coke from a vial lol. thinking about the amount of substances consumed on a short memorial day weekend trip makes me thankful to be sober nowadays hahaha. the dude on the left is the only homie i have that i went to high school with, we became friends senior year bc he invited me to tag along to a trash talk / mellowhype show at chain reaction. good times.

right page bottom: im pretty sure this is from the homie's pad and i was just amazed at how many cigs were in the ash tray and i just wanted a reason to kill the roll of film i had.

left page: from a 2020 trip to the bay with my friend Ham. i think this was towards the end of the trip, went to golden gate park and ate fruit, drank stolen booze. it was windy as fuck and we just sat on this big slab of concrete that looked over the ocean. it was dark and gray and angry looking, scary and intimidating. honestly a moment that feels kinda surreal and like it didnt really happen?

right page: a door from the tenderloin, SF. same trip. door tags and drip.

left page: ny trip, 2019. my homie's shitty stick and poke "luv" for lil uzi vert lmfao, and the goodfellas poster was the first thing i saw in my homie's apartment when i first arrived.

right page: the homie devon and his homegirl alex, she was honestly cool af. bottom photo was from a trip to ny in 2020, some girls i met thru my homies. we went to some club i thing, i was drunk as hell lol.

top photo: vegas trip, late 2021? towards the end of my relationship with drugs, coke specifically. this trip was random and grimy, not very fun. i was just trying to get away from a lot of things and people...

bottom photo: just some business and some products.
